Family Voice meetings are for individuals looking for more information and resources on a variety of topics. Each meeting covers a different topic with experts in the arena presenting and answering questions in an engaging manner so that all feel answered and included.
Previous topics and presenters have included; The L.E.A.P. Method, The Care ACT, informational sessions about various NAMI apps such as alfrEDU and PERT/MCRT just to name a few.
Family Health Center
Join us for an engaging Family Voice on March 14th at 11:00 AM by the Family Health Centers of San Diego Psychiatric Residency Program
Learn more about the symptoms and most common medications for the treatment of depression and anxiety. Dr Karim Sedky, MD, Program Director of the Family Health Centers of San Diego Psychiatric Residency Program and Dalal Aago, MD, Psychiatric Resident, will be providing a short presentation on the clinical symptoms and treatments for individuals with clinical depression and anxiety. Following their presentation Dr. Sedky and Dr. Aago will open the floor for a Q&A session. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts and concerns with family members with one or both of these mental illnesses. We appreciate your presence and look forward to a meaningful conversation together.

At Education for Sharing, we believe the power of play is one of the best ways to learn. Operating throughout the Americas, our mission is to help children grow into well-rounded global citizens by making education fun and meaningful. We are excited to bring our Healthy Futures Project to your neighborhood! This program uses engaging games and teamwork to help students understand heart health and discover simple, joyful ways to stay healthy for life.

Cover My Mental Health
Cover My Mental Health provides no-cost, immediately actionable resources supporting patients and families facing insurance obstacles such as (a) non suitable in-network clinician, (b) claims denied as “not medically necessary,” and (c) opaque insurance processes.
Cover My Mental Health president/founder Joe Feldman provides encouragement and an introduction to the resources available to overcome these insurance obstacles. Feldman will share important tips for interacting with insurer customer service reps and steps to take “if at first you don’t succeed.” There will be an open Q&A session, too.
