This free program for Adults (18 and older) is comprised of a series of eight (8) classes for the families of persons with serious and persistent brain disorders (mental illnesses). These classes represent a new concept and curriculum. Teachers are family members themselves who have a loved one living with mental illness. The course has been designed and written by an experienced family member-mental health professional. The Family-to-Family course balances education and skill-training with self-care, emotional support and empowerment.
Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Class dates are February 9, February 11, February 18, February 23, February 25, Mar 2, Mar 4, Mar 9. There will be no class on Presidents Day.
