To be part of a robust and culturally diverse working team, NAMI San Diego Children, Youth & Family Liaison (CYFL) Team especially seeks individuals who qualify as a Youth/Family Support Partner defined by County Behavioral Health Services as an “individual with [current or past] experience as a consumer, or caregiver to a consumer, of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) Behavioral Health Services, Child Welfare Services, the Juvenile Justice System, or Special Education.”
The CYFL Technology Engineer is responsible for developing digital materials, systems and support tools, to educate, support and advocate for children, youth and families involved in the Children, Youth and Families Behavioral Health System of Care with emphasis on participant involvement, parent support, TAY (Transition Age Youth) engagement, adolescent health and wellness through the development and maintenance of digital resources. The CYFL Technology Engineer will also be responsible for the technology involved in presentations, creating or facilitating webinars, hosting Facebook Live events, production of YouTube Videos and will assist in the solicitation, collection and analysis of community feedback on challenges, successes and trends experienced by those involved with the Children’s System of Care. A strong analytical background and knowledge of building cross-platform systems is necessary.
Experience with contract compliance, contract/project status reporting, public speaking, and behavioral health experience is an essential duty of the role. A strong graphic skills or design and experience with brand development and promotion preferred but not required. Must have excellent technology skills, strong organizational, communication, and proven team building skills.
a. Develop and promote different digital platforms as an adjunct to support the monthly Family/Youth Partner (FYP) Coaching meeting, developing incoming Y/FSP and leading the creation of a shared identity as Peer Professionals within the Children’s System of Care.
b. Monitor, update and maintain technology equipment and devices in preparation for workshops, trainings, classroom setting, Webinars, YouTube, Facebook Live community events, conferences and asset library.
c. Maintain check-in and out of NAMI SD technology equipment/inventory to staff.
d. Develop and monitor a monthly online satisfaction questionnaire/survey and responsible for maintaining data collection.
e. Analyze program data and generate ad hoc reports.
f. Design or develop and implement new systems and streamline technology solutions.
g. Research and vet due diligence with venders on technology tools in accordance with County of San Diego policy.
h. Participate in educational and professional trainings as deemed appropriate by CYFL Program Manager and/or NAMI San Diego employee policy.
i. Performs other duties as assigned by CYFL Program Manager.
3. SPECIFICATIONS, QUALIFICATIONS, and COMPETENCY FACTORS
a. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred (Behavioral Economics, Social Work, Public Health, Anthropology, Public Policy, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Media Arts, and Technology) or clearly demonstrated equivalent work experience in the field.
b. Strong positive viewpoint of mental health is essential.
c. Demonstrated experience with development of IT solutions, cloud-based applications, and knowledge of emerging technology trends.
d. Demonstrated knowledge, experience and development of webinar and video conferencing platforms.
e. Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Facebook Live and YouTube platforms, including functionality: compliance, uploading videos, view tracking and account management.
f. Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Citrix, GoToTraining, WebEx (or similar online meeting platforms).
g. Demonstrated knowledge of modern web technologies, social networking platforms and mobile platforms.
h. Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of video and audio editing.
i. Basic understanding of Mac/PC operating systems and use of mobile devices.
j. Proficient experience and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including but not limited to SharePoint, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
k. Experience with various software security and information systems management.
l. Knowledge of the theory and practice of device maintenance to install, update, customize and protect computer networks.
m. Excellent organizational skills including program execution/monitoring and contract compliance.
n. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o. Motivation and ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
p. Team player, but can work independently.
q. Willingness to support NAMI San Diego’s Mission and Values.
r. Maintain all confidential information.
s. The ability to travel using own automobile efficiently to offsite locations as needed, including but not limited for purposes such as: offsite meetings, attending training programs, resource fairs, vendor meetings, classroom sites, Club House assessment meetings, etc. Must maintain current car insurance for liability in CA. Must have clean driving record meeting standards reported on Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

c. Periodic lifting up to 15 pounds is required.

e. Occasional evenings and weekends required.
f. Community and office setting. Regional travel required.
