Our goal is to facilitate access to services, support and education for Primary Care Providers, their patients and their families. Follow the links to access a comprehensive list of mental health and community services offered in San Diego County.

	More individuals with depression, panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder obtained mental health care from general medical physicians (37%) than from mental health specialists such as psychiatrists (13%), or psychologists, social workers and other therapists (19%).
	Up to one-half of all visits to primary care physicians are due to conditions that are caused or exacerbated by mental or emotional problems.
	Many of the 32,000 Americans who commit suicide each year see their primary care physician within months preceding their suicide, although they may not share their despair with them.
